The technology is becoming a very popular website application to enable users to tour locations without having to actually visit them, and is a powerful tool to help sell real estate, preview hotel rooms, communicate conditions on a building site or even selling merchandise in a retail environment.
360 degree panoramas can be of a single viewport or multiple viewpoints for a fully navigable interactive experience, (i.e multiple rooms of a house) and can be produced as a either a full 360×360 degree sphere allowing the user to pan up, down and all around, or as a partial sphere limiting panning to left and right.
